It argues that €20m should be spent on a national car share scheme, similar to Dublin Bikes and modeled on French all-electric car share schemes, rather than giving €5,000 subsidies to individuals (with the effect of bringing the cost of a electric saloon car down for just 4,000 wealthy car buyers).
